Follow our journey

St Luke's Ride for Youth participants are currently in training in preparation for the 772 kilometre journey.

Day 1

  • Bendigo to Numurkah
  • 155 kilometres

They will start from Lake Weeroona (car park nearest the railway line) between 7am - 8am on Monday 4th October 2010.

They will head out of town along the Midland Highway where Poyser Motors staff will line the highway to cheer them on. The cyclists will continue through Huntly and Goornong before heading through Shepparton and north to Numurkah and their first overnight stop.

Day 2

  • Numurkah to Urana
  • 139 kilometres

Today will see these cyclists ride into New South Wales. They will ride through Katunga, Strathmerton and Cobram before hitting the NSW towns of Berrigan, Oaklands and their overnight stop, Urana.

Arriving at Corowa Road, Urana, at approximately 2:00pm.

Day 3

  • Urana to Cootamundra
  • 210 kilometres

This is the big day for our participants in terms of kilometers covered.

Major towns visited will include Lockhart, Junee and Bethungra before a well-earned overnight stop in Cootamundra.

Arriving at Cootamundra at approximately 2:00pm.

Day 4

  • Cootamundra to Cowra
  • 120 kilometres

Heading off from Cootamundra cyclists will head through towns including Wallendbeen, Young and Koorawatha before arriving in Cowra.

Day 5

  • Cowra to Bathurst
  • 120 kilometres

The final leg of the St Luke's Ride for Youth will see the participants finish just outside Bathurst in Forest Grove. The weary riders will be welcomed by St Luke's CEO Dave Pugh and Deputy CEO Lauren Bean will be there to meet the team and thank them for a terrific effort.
